In the workshop To ponder, to dream up: blending fiction and memory, participants were invited to think about remembering as fiction-writing, and vice-versa. Drawing inspiration from different locations around the house (a graveyard, a church, a tool shed), we invented memories that might belong to these places. Taking in the surroundings, their smells, sounds, sights and surfaces, we spoke from (auto-)fictional characters. Later, these scraps of text were assembled into fragmented stories that we read out loud to each other. These collaborative stories mysteriously felt like they belonged to the same world.
